I got an espresso machine for Christmas. Love the machine but I only had an old grinder, noisy and a pain to get the right grind. My grandson told me about this grinder so I looked into it. Had to wait a bit for the (V4). Really glad I did! This grinder is awesome, and does a great job with my espresso shots. Its a lot quieter than I thought it would be too. Well worth the wait and I highly recommend the DF54 (V4)!

I'm in love with this grinder! I ordered the unit with the Red Titanium burrs, the 54mm dosing cup and the black, metal dial indicator. I find the unit is relatively quiet (for a grinder). It has not produced much static at all (as I think previous generations might have). The metal dial indicator is quality (not plastic/3d printed) and I like the fact that I now have a true zero point. The dosing cup is also a high quality, sturdy chuck of metal with lid.

Something to note. I have a white, quartz countertop and the black, flat cushioned feet rubbed off on the countertop and took some elbow grease to remove. I solved this by ordering some 5/8" Clear Self-Adhesive Polyurethane Bumper Pads from Amazon that fit PERFECTLY into the indentation used for the exiting pads.

There is also a 3/D printed accessory (sold on Etsy) that lets you grind directly into a 54mm portafilter, which just saves you from having to transfer grounds from the dosing cup to the portafilter.

Overall - extremely pleased with the purchase and with the DF Grinder accessories. Shipping was also fast for me.

Nice grinder, I’m liking the single dose grinder. It’s very clean, no grounds all over my counter. So far no retention. Seems to work well with medium roast espresso beans.

First time I tried to use it, it clogged and only about 1/4 of the beans came through. I have it in pieces now trying to clean it to see if that works.

So quiet that my wife didn’t know she had to turn it off and ran it for 4hrs straight. It got a little warm but still working great

This grinder works amazingly well! First burr grinder and the improvement in the quality of the coffee is shocking. The bellows is fun and useful.

It meets all the expectations I had after watching reviews on YouTube: uniform grind, no retention, great appearance, compact enough for my kitchen, and stylish. I am satisfied with the service from DF Grinders.

I've had a terrible experience with this grinder. From the start, it came out smelling like strong glue because the glue was still wet from the lid. Then even when it was at 0 my beans came out too coarse. Then, it got clogged and I couldn't unscrew the part where the beans come out. I tried to unscrew the screws under the lid but they are glued shut...I've only had this grinder a week. I want to return it.

So far so good.. solid build and works great. Retention is really near zero. Highly recommended.

Its a big improvement from the internal grinder in the Breville Barista Express.

Im absolutely amazed at the quality of my new DF grinder, this is an amazing part of my espresso setup and does the job well. Fast efficient grinding and not too noisy.
Build quality is stellar, it’s a bit heavy but just enough to let you know this is a well made product. I’ve had this for a week now and pulled so many great shots thanks to its grinding consistency. I’ve had no issues with this machine after a week, every part and function has delivered (no issues with bellow falling off, grinds never spill out, always consistent grind size)

If you’re a newbie getting into making your own espresso, or even a seasoned veteran, this machine will get the job done.

I can’t believe I held off on this purchase for so long. Such an upgrade from my ceramic hand grinder. I love the adjustable dial and how quiet it is. I can also easily grind 30g at a time no problem, despite what it says in the specs. She’s perfect and I love her <3

Paired this grinder with my Breville Bambino a month ago. Very happy with the machine. Dial makes adjusting grind size very easy. Grind is consistent and fluffy. No issues with static. Would recommend!

I have had many grinders. This none is excellent for the price. Amazing build quality in such a small package. And the shots taste amazing.

Iv had a lot of grinders. Just got this to test it out. It’s such a small compact size but really a great grinder. Great build quality, super low retention, and the shots taste great.

The term 'banger' was used in the UK to mean "really excellent pop song" back in the early 2000's. Well, this is it.

Changed the flavor completely over the Zwiling used to have. Cleans well with a couple of pumpety-pumps on the top, with limited accumulation. The wood on top is an afterthought. The plastic cup is clingy without RDT (why they didn't do a metal 54mm cup, I don't know). But then even the Beatles' Revolver has Yellow Submarine on it. It's still a near-perfect album.

It arrived in great shape but I find that when I rotate the dial to change the grinder settings, the burrs chirp a little. It sounds exactly like when the YouTubers who demonstrate how to determine where the “0” mark is by moving the dial all the way counter clockwise to where the upper and lower burrs begin to meet. I did rotate the dial all the way to the “0” mark and I heard the expected chirp. It is when I am in the 50’s and 60’s when I hear the chirping again. I don’t think it is good for the burrs but I can’t understand why they would chirp when they should be some distance apart for the courser grind setting. Is this normal? Are the burrs becoming dull when this happens?

This is a grand machine. The dialing scale allows for very small adjustments but with a significant difference in the ground results.

Works great with medium and light roasts so far. Delivery was a bit delayed but they communicated it clearly. Would purchase from DF Grinders again.

What a difference. Can't believe how much better coffee tastes at home. Worth every penny.
